Come Sing With Us!

Membership in the Kansas City Women’s Chorus is by audition and open to all women’s (treble) voices. We proudly celebrate the diversity of our membership—demographically, culturally, and professionally. If you sing in the treble vocal range and identify anywhere along your personal spectrum as a woman, we’d be thrilled to welcome you.

New members are invited to join at the beginning of each rehearsal session, which leads up to a specific concert in either the fall or spring.

If you’re interested in joining, please contact our Auditions Chair:

To help you get a feel for KCWC, all audition candidates are asked to attend and sing during the first rehearsal with the section they would typically join. This experience offers a chance to hear how the chorus sounds, meet fellow singers, and understand how we work together before auditioning.

Chorus rehearsals are held on Monday nights from 7:00pm–9:15pm at Central Presbyterian Church:

  • Fall session: Begins August/September
  • Spring session: Begins January/February
Each session also includes two all-day Saturday rehearsals.

Auditions for the Fall 2025 session are now closed. We invite new singers to contact us about auditioning for our Spring session which starts in January.

Chorus Members

Membership follows written guidelines for participation as both singing and non-singing members. These Board-and membership-approved guidelines address:

  • Mission and goals
  • Attendance and absenteeism
  • Dues, scholarships, and performance attire
  • Committee and fundraising participation
  • Social activities

These guidelines are provided in the Chorus Handbook, distributed to all new members to ensure transparency and shared understanding. Individual commitment—not only to performance excellence but also to chorus management and growth—is valued and encouraged.

Our Concerts

KCWC performs at exciting venues throughout the Kansas City area. Each season includes a fall and spring/summer concert, as well as a free educational concert for local schoolchildren. Periodically, we present a third performance featuring a distinct repertoire, lower ticket prices, and a focus on community outreach and support.

More details about this season’s concerts can be found on the Concerts page.

Volunteers Needed

We welcome all who wish to support the Chorus through volunteer service. Opportunities range widely, and time commitments can be tailored to your availability. If you’re interested in volunteering, please Contact Us for more information.
